With the professional support and coordination of Back és Rosta Ltd., one of the most iconic archaeological legacies of world history has arrived in Hungary: the Chinese Terracotta Army is being presented at the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest.
Spanning more than a millennium of history, the exhibition focuses on one of the world’s most significant archaeological discoveries — the terracotta army of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, and the historical era that shaped the foundations of imperial China. The exhibition titled “Guardians of Eternity – The Terracotta Warriors of the First Chinese Emperor” offers visitors an exceptional opportunity to explore the beliefs, power structures, craftsmanship, and worldview of ancient China.
Through the cooperation and organization of Back és Rosta Ltd., more than 120 original ancient artifacts are brought to Budapest, including ten authentic terracotta warrior figures created over 2,200 years ago to guard the emperor in the afterlife. These rare objects originate exclusively from renowned museums and archaeological institutions in Shaanxi Province, the historic heartland of the Chinese empire and home to the former imperial capital.
Key contributors to the exhibition include the Mausoleum Museum of the First Chinese Emperor, the Han Dynasty Yangling Imperial Tomb Museum, and the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology. Together, these institutions provide unparalleled insight into burial customs, imperial ideology, and the extraordinary artistic achievements of ancient Chinese civilization.
The exhibition will be open to the public in Budapest from November 28, 2025, to June 14, 2026, offering visitors, families, students, and professionals alike a once-in-a-lifetime cultural and educational experience. The project highlights Back és Rosta Ltd.’s commitment to delivering world-class international exhibitions and fostering cultural exchange across continents. Back és Rosta Ltd. played a key role in the organization and coordination of the exhibition, supporting international cooperation and professional implementation. Their expertise ensured that the ancient artifacts could be safely transported and presented in Budapest in accordance with the highest international museum standards.
