John Malkovich, the world famous American actor, was recently in Budapest. The Hollywood legend, who has a reputation as a great art collector and art lover, was also introduced to Europe's largest interactive video wall, the 16-metre-long Magic Wall, at the Museum of Fine Arts.
The renowned actor for his roles in films such as Of Mice and Men, Being John Malkovich, Shadow of the Vampire, recently made his way to Budapest. John Malkovich loves Budapest and this was not his first visit, however, this time – probably for private reasons -- he managed to dive into the city's cultural scene at two of its most prestigious museums; the Museum of Fine Arts near the City Park and the Hungarian National Gallery nestled in the Buda Castle.
He and his partner for decades, Nicoletta Peyran had a special guide at the Fine art Museum, as director Laszlo Baan took them around in the prestigious building. As much as we had been informed by our friends and partners for several years at the museum, the American couple was amazed by the classical collection and the diversity of world class art, just as much as they loved our interactive video display, at the Marble hall of the building.
Back and Rosta’s flagship product was inaugurated in one of the largest art museums of Central Europe in 2018. Since it’s first day it has entertained over 500.000 visitors and with its 21 pieces of 55-inch monitors it continues to provide a unique visitor’s experience for all ages.
A Facebook post from the Museum of Fine Arts shed light on this visit, showcasing the world-famous visitors exploring the museum and checking out our Magic Wall as well. An Instagram post also revealed that the couple ventured to the Hungarian National Gallery, too. Whether this trip is a private getaway or a sign of an upcoming shooting, remains a mystery, but for Back and Rosta it was a privilege to collect insights from one of the greatest living actor-legend.
